This rare wild black tea enfleuré with jasmine brings a fruity, rounded edge to the floral side. A fine balance of flavors for a smooth tasting experience. A beautiful Vietnamese specialty, inspired by ancestral techniques, with no added flavoring, a must-try.
Fresh jasmine flowers grown locally (in the neighboring province of Lai Châu) are plucked just before the tea is impregnated, which takes place overnight: layers of fresh flowers are placed on the tea leaves, which slowly absorb the fragrance, then the flowers are removed by hand. The tea is hand-roasted to fix and sublimate the jasmine notes.
Origin: Bản Liền, Lao Cai province, Vietnam
Altitude: 1200 m.
Harvest: jasmine blooms only in April and May, tea is harvested in the same spring.
Picking method: one bud, two leaves.
Tea variety: Camellia Sinensis
Aromatic profile: the black tea chosen is deep and warm, with malty, woody notes typical of the region. The opulent fragrance of jasmine balances perfectly with this tea, giving it roundness.
