Gaiwan / Zhong - Chine - En stock
Gaiwans (also called "zhong") are small teapots used to prepare tea according to the Chinese way (inspired by Gong Fu Cha, the chinese tea ceremony). It requires a bigger quantity of tea leaves for a smaller amount of water, compared to the Western way, and implies many successive brewings of the same leaves. You can try this technique for your finest teas, no matter their colour (white, green, oolong, black or Pu Erh).
A gaiwan is made of three parts: the saucer, the pot and the lid. They embody the earth, the human and the sky in the Chinese traditions.
