This traditional calabash is made from a hollowed-out gourd. Appearance and size vary, as this is a natural product (photo is indicative, colors may differ according to availability). Before using for the first time, the gourd should be "culled" by infusing it with mate for 24 hours, to impregnate it with the mate's flavours and preserve it over the long term. Over time, the skin of the calabash will gradually discolor: this is a normal, natural process.

Care: empty the maté after use and rinse with clean water. Leave to air-dry with the opening facing upwards. Not dishwasher-safe.
