This Japanese tea Sencha Sayama is a premium green tea grown according to the principles of Organic Farming by a small producer from Kyushu Island, precisely from Kagoshima Prefecture. It comes from the cultivar Nanmei, a rare cultivar in Japan. The difference with our other Japanese teas is that it is not covered before harvest (kabusecha), which gives the tea fresh and lively vegetal notes, slightly minty. These leaves are also a lighter green. It follows a short parboiling process that gives it pretty and long leaves in the shape of a clear jade-coloured needle. It is allowed to infuse at least 3 times.
